Committee members

Alternate Volunteer Options

Are you interested in an early shopping pass or a higher consignment percent but aren't available during the sale week? We understand that some of you may not be able to volunteer your time at the sale but would still like the benefits of working a 4-hour shift. There are a limited number of positions available that do not require you to be at the sale. They are available on a first come basis, considering everyone’s individual situation and the needs of the sale. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

Put it on the Honey Do List

65% of your sales & 3pm presale pass

You can recruit your husband or a friend to work a shift for you! You will receive full credit for his/her 4 hours. (Be sure to let us know of your substitution).

Flyer/Postcard Distribution

65% of your sales & 3pm presale pass

We will give you a list of places or a specific area and you must bring flyers to at least 15 places that have given permission. Flyers are distributed to daycare centers, preschools, children’s gyms, community and private bulletin boards and other locations throughout the area.

 

More Volunteer Options

If you do not have 4 hours to give but would like to shop the Thursday night private presale, you can earn a presale pass by helping with the following (NOTE: these will not qualify consignors for the 5% bonus to their commission):

Meals for Volunteers = 4pm presale pass

We will gladly accept a home cooked or take-out meal for volunteers during the public sale. We ask that you bring enough to feed 15 people, one main dish and one side or dessert. TKC will supply utensils, plates and beverages.

Place TKC Magnets on your Vehicle = 4pm presale pass

Place 2 magnets on your vehicle 3-4 weeks before the sale until the last day of the sale. Please only volunteer for this position if you are frequently driving your vehicle to and from kids activities or places where they will be seen. Magnets must be returned after the sale!! Consignors Only!

Sign Display = 4:30pm presale pass

Do you live on or have access to a property located on a busy street? If you would be willing to post a sign visible to passersby, you can earn an early shopping pass. We ask that you pick up and return the sign at the end of the sale. Not all locations will qualify, please contact us with your available location(s).

Please note: Shifts are available on a first come first serve basis. One volunteer pass is earned per 4 hour shift or non sale position. A volunteer pass entitles one person admittance to the pre sale. You may bring children under 13 without a pass. You MUST have a pass for entrance. If you have lost your pass replacement passes are available for a $25 fee.

We immensely appreciate all those who offer their time...thank you in advance! We know attending the private Presale is well worth the effort!! If you volunteer for any position we are counting on you to follow through. In the event you do not fulfill your commitment, or find a comparable replacement, you will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer in the future. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in to place to maintain a high quality sale
